Oct 18: Premiere Night (6 PM)

Red-carpet events begin at 5:00 pm
  • Walk the red carpet
  • Witness 11 dynamic short films
  • Join media outlets, community leaders, and film enthusiasts
  • Dress is red-carpet appropriate attire.

Oct 19: Saturday Matinee (3 PM)

This event is open to the public and will showcase all 11 films in their entirety.

  • Walk the red carpet and pose for photos at the elegant venue for a memorable afternoon.
  • Audience should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to showtime.
  • Audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite film at this show
  • Dress is comfortable film viewing attire.

Oct 19: Awards Ceremony (6 PM)

The winners will be announced:

  • $16k scholarship presented by Christopher Newport University
  • Blackmagic Design is donating one of their 6K pocket cameras to the winning director
  • Virginia Film Commission is awarding the winning film cash prizes.
  • Dress is red-carpet appropriate attire.

Oct 20: Encore Matinee (2 PM)

  • Screening of all 11 films open to the public
  • Witness breakthrough stories on the big stage
  • Audience should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to showtime.
